Worcester, MA — Siding & Structural Rot Repair on a Cape

This Worcester cape is sided in painted wood shingles, and the weather had gotten into them: stained and split shingles on the walls, worn and missing shingles up in the gable, and the worst damage concentrated at an inside corner.

We opened that corner, stripped the siding back, cut out the rotted wood, and covered the repaired wall with a new weather barrier. These photos show the house before we started and the repair in progress.

    Project 02 · Concord, MA

Concord, MA — Exterior Siding & Trim Repair for a Condominium Trust

Exterior repair work on a condominium community in Concord: gray-green lap siding with white trim. Going in, the vertical trim was stained and breaking down, and several corner boards and window trim pieces had deteriorated.

We pulled the failed corner boards, including the corner beside a bank of electric meters, stripped the corners to the membrane, removed damaged siding courses, patched in new siding boards and set a new trim board at the base of the wall. The finished corners got new white trim.
